Welcome to Little Ray Stables

Little Ray Stables is veteran-owned/operated by Randal and Crystal Walker in Duarte, California.  We, along with six of our 11 children, live in the SoCal area of Duarte and operate via a METT (Mobile Equestrian Training Team) throughout the area. Also, as of mid-January 2022, we hope to be operating out of an upcoming boarding and training facility in Menifee, California (more updates to follow).

Experience: We at Little Ray Stables have over 40 years of experience in equestrian services. From training, trading, maintaining boarding facilities, roping, and rodeoing, we have covered a lot of territory over the years.

Proud Veterans: In addition to our years of equestrian experience, my wife and I have a combined 44 years of service to our country in the United States Army and the California Army National Guard, including a combined five deployments to Afghanistan.

Programs: We use a program that is specially designed to meet the goals set by you, for you and your horse. We begin with a free consult where we gather various information such as the horse's current and previous mental/physical status, previous training, what exactly you want out of the program, and what we expect from you during and after our training. After the initial consult, we develop a time lined plan with milestones that shows each phase of our training. From the first week’s groundwork to the final week’s rides, we keep you involved every step of the way. We believe YOU, the owner/rider, MUST be a part of the training. The goal is to get you riding and the only way to do that is to make sure you are involved in the training process.
